In questi mesi sto lavorando a due progetti che hanno come tema le “distorsioni” e “lastre” che si pongono tra osservatore e osservato. Sono progetti fotografici ma si rivolgono a una riflessione più generalizzata di quello che poniamo tra noi e il mondo esterno sia per come vogliamo apparire, sia per come ci poniamo da osservatori di altri; tra di essi esiste uno strato volubile e distorsivo che fa arrivare agli occhi immagini diverse dalla realtà e trascinano una percezione irreale tutta a carico di chi guarda. Uno strato che dilata, trasforma, offusca e opacizza quando di reale esiste e quando ti interiore viene trasmesso dal soggetto dell’immagine.
In recent months I have been working on two projects that have as their theme the 'distortions' and 'wet plates' that we place between observer and observed. They are photographic projects, but they address a more generalized reflection on what we place between us and the outside world, both in terms of how we want to appear and how we place ourselves as observers of others; between them there is a fickle and distorting layer that causes images different from reality to reach the eyes and drag an unreal perception all down to the beholder. A layer that dilates, transforms, blurs and opaques what is real and when the inner you is conveyed by the subject of the image.
